Whose American Revolution Was It – And Whose Is It Now?

Gregory Nobles, who received his PhD from the University of Michigan and is now Professor Emeritus at Georgia Tech, is an American historian who has written extensively about the era of the American Revolution and the Early American Republic. In addition to Whose American Revolution Was It?: Historians Interpret the Founding (2011), co-authored with Alfred F. Young, his most recent books are John James Audubon: The Nature of the American Woodsman (2017) and The Education of Betsey Stockton: An Odyssey of Slavery and Freedom (2022). He now divides his time between Atlanta GA and Northport MI, where he serves as a Docent with the Leelanau Conservancy and Trustee of the Leelanau Historical Society.
